Photos of Bishop Eddie Long have surfaced that were allegedly sent to the men by whom he is being sued. Bishop Long is a pastor of a really large church in Georgia. The newest Birth Missionary Baptist Church claims over 24,000 members. The Bishop Long scandal involves some young men that were mentored by Long. It is alleged that Eddie Long, who had previously fervently preached against homosexuals, had engaged in inappropriate and predatory acts of a sexual nature with these men he mentored.
Bishop Eddie Long photographs come to light
A suit was filed over a week ago against Eddie Long. The photos soon came out, according to Columbia Broadcasting System. The photos were allegedly from the very people suing him. Some of these photos show Long in tight fitting workout clothes. However, the attorney for the plaintiffs in the lawsuit doesn’t believe the photos to be of a sex nature. The content is unknown, but it is known Long emailed the plaintiffs.
The lawsuit is almost class action
There were initially two men suing Long. As outlined by CNN, there are now four. The suit alleges Long used his position within the church to elicit sexual favors. All four young men come from severely disadvantaged programs, and also allege Long used his position as a benefactor also as a high-profile clergyman. Long and his attorney have strenuously denied all allegations. Long has been labeled a bigot in the past for his stance o n homosexuality. He called for a national ban on same-sex marriages in the past.
Reality will come out in front of a jury
The truth of the allegations awaits the decision of the court. Bishop Long ministers to a mega-church. The membership totals over 24,000. There is generally never an empty seat at one of his sermons, which routinely draw over 10,000.
