Hire carefully- Drug trafficking at auto dealerships

Automotive News reports that illegal drug trafficking at auto dealerships has occurred with increasing frequency in recent years, perpetrated either by less-than-honest employees or corrupt ownership. When marijuana is a part in the box of parts being shipped, “parts is parts” takes on a new meaning.

Drug ring found at Maryland Honda/Volkswagen dealership

A Maryland Honda/Volkswagen dealership was caught with 120 pounds, or $ 1.6 million worth of marijuana, reports DealershipForum.com. Each and every delivery made, an employee working parts got $ 100. He was in charge of passing this to the dealer. Automotive News indicates similar illicit activity occurred at a Detroit-area Mopar Parts Distribution Center, where two 10-pound bricks of marijuana came in a box of wiper blades. Is good help that hard to discover, when everybody needs a job?

All the auto dealership hijinks

Do these happen all on their own? Try thinking about this. The Seattle Times tells the story of the former Huling Brothers Auto Center of Seattle, where money laundering, drug dealing and a smorgasbord of illegal activity allegedly occurred. As outlined by Fox 29 WFLX of Hollywood, Fla., a “massive drug trafficking business” was happening in a Florida auto dealership that was run by Nova Motor Groups’ owner, Richard Carlson. Apparently Carlson stashed cocaine in SUVs that were shipped to Sweden. In Abington, Massachusetts, a couple partners working with Duane Glenn in a Midway Motors selling cocaine. Marijuana offenses were also involved in the arrests.

John DeLorean has a fantastic story

The DeLorean Motor Company was a high-end auto manufacturer that made distinctive gull-winged, stainless-steel luxury sports cars from 1975 until about 1982, when the company went bankrupt. Within the 1980s, the DeLorean DMC-12 was one of the best cars to get, although John DeLorean couldn’t figure out maintaining all of its operating capital. Drugs started to be sold be DeLorean as proved in a film. DeLorean went free because there seemed to are some entrapment.
